Day-by-Day Itinerary
Every day is crafted to balance riding, exploration and acclimatisation in one of the world's most dramatic landscapes.
Arrival in Srinagar — Group Assembly
📍 Srinagar
Arrive in Srinagar and check in at your hotel. Attend the evening briefing where the Find Ur Trip team walks you through the route, safety protocols, gear checks and bike allocation. The night is free — explore Lal Chowk or enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake.
Srinagar → Dha Hanu via Kargil
🏍️ Srinagar → Kargil → Dha Hanu | ~230 km
Depart early along the Srinagar–Leh Highway. Pass the stunning Zoji La pass and descend into the arid landscape of Kargil. Continue to Dha Hanu, home of the Drokpa (Aryan) people — one of the most isolated communities in India. Overnight at a local guesthouse.
Dha Hanu → Leh via Khardung La
🏍️ Dha Hanu → Leh | ~210 km | Khardung La: 18,380 ft
Ride to Leh via the legendary Khardung La — one of the world's highest motorable passes. The vistas from the top are breathtaking. Descend into Leh city and check in. Evening free to acclimatise and explore the Leh bazaar.
Leh — Acclimatisation & Exploration Day
📍 Leh · No riding
A full rest day in Leh for acclimatisation — essential before pushing to higher altitudes. Visit the Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa and Hemis Monastery. The support team handles bike maintenance and checks for the days ahead. Join an optional evening walk through the old market.
Leh → Mig La — Gateway to the Extreme South
🏍️ Leh → Mig La | ~120 km
Head south towards the Changthang Plateau. Ride through sparse, moonscape terrain as the altitude climbs steadily. Camp overnight at Mig La, your base before the crown jewel of the tour — Umling La.
Umling La — World's Highest Motorable Road
🏍️ Mig La → Umling La → Mig La | Summit: 19,024 ft / 5,798 m
The defining moment of the entire expedition. Depart before dawn and ride to Umling La — officially the world's highest motorable road, surpassing Bolivia's Paso Uturuncu. The final 20 km are on unpaved high-altitude gravel. Certificate of accomplishment issued to all riders at the summit. Return to camp at Mig La.
Mig La → Tso Moriri Lake
🏍️ Mig La → Tso Moriri | ~90 km
Descend from the Changthang plateau and ride to the pristine Tso Moriri Lake — a high-altitude wetland and Ramsar site at 4,522 m. Watch rare black-necked cranes and Tibetan wild asses (Kiang) along the shore. Camp or stay in a local homestay by the lake.
Tso Moriri → Pang via More Plains
🏍️ Tso Moriri → Pang | ~180 km | More Plains: 15,000 ft
Cross the sweeping More Plains — a vast high-altitude desert plateau that stretches to the horizon. The riding here is fast and dramatic. Camp at Pang, a small tent settlement used by bikers as a midway halt between Leh and Manali.
Pang → Jispa via Baralacha La
🏍️ Pang → Jispa | ~130 km | Baralacha La: 16,040 ft
Cross the glacier-fringed Baralacha La and descend into the Lahaul valley. The landscape transforms dramatically — from barren plateau to lush green river valleys with pine forests. Stay at Jispa, a charming village on the banks of the Bhaga River.
Jispa → Keylong → Sissu
🏍️ Jispa → Sissu | ~60 km
A shorter riding day through the Lahaul valley — enjoy the scenery at a relaxed pace. Visit the ancient Keylong Monastery. Camp or stay at Sissu, famous for its waterfall and views of the Chandra River.
Sissu → Manali via Rohtang Pass
🏍️ Sissu → Manali | ~60 km | Rohtang Pass: 13,051 ft
Cross the iconic Rohtang Pass — the gateway between the Kullu valley and Lahaul. Descend through the Beas River valley into Manali. The final stretch through pine-covered hills signals the end of an extraordinary journey. Check in to your hotel for the farewell dinner.
Manali — Departure Day
📍 Manali
Morning is free for last-minute shopping on Mall Road or a stroll through Old Manali. Bike handover formalities are completed. The team assists with departure transfers. Certificates, photos and memories to last a lifetime. Until next time!
